“Walnutty”  Brussel Sprouts

1 12 oz. pack Supreme Cuts Brussel Sprouts
½ cup sliced shallots or red onions
½ cup walnut halves
1 –2 tea. walnut oil, optional
2 tbsp butter
salt and pepper to taste

    • Cook the brussel sprouts in vigorously boiling water until tender, app. 8-10 minutes
    • While cooking, brown the onions or shallots in the butter
    • Add the walnuts and allow t toast
    • When cooked, drain the brussel sprouts and toss with the onion walnut mixture
    • Add the walnut oil, optional, for additional flavor
    • Season to taste with salt and pepper
